Job Role – Content Writer

As a Content Writer at Unwire, you will be responsible for researching and writing news articles, trending stories, explainers, and other digital content for our news website.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write accurate, engaging, and original news articles.
• Cover breaking news, trending topics, current affairs, and important developments.
• Monitor multiple reliable sources to identify relevant news stories.
• Write clear and reader-friendly headlines, introductions, and articles.
• Verify facts and information before publishing.
• Rewrite and update news stories as new information becomes available.
• Research topics thoroughly and present information in an easy-to-understand format.
• Write SEO-friendly news articles while maintaining editorial quality.
• Follow proper grammar, spelling, formatting, and editorial standards.
• Use relevant keywords naturally in news articles.
• Write engaging headlines without using misleading or clickbait claims.
• Keep track of trending topics and emerging news stories.
• Coordinate with the editorial, SEO, and publishing teams.
• Meet daily content and publishing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with online news portals or digital media platforms will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress is a plus.
• Candidates with a portfolio of published news articles will be preferred.
